Amazon expands its partnership with VMware and sets sites on companies not using the cloud

Amazon Web Services has made itself known as the largest cloud computing organization on the market. AWS hosts many other companies technology infrastructure through its massive data centers but now, they are producing new solutions and services for companies who still rely heavily on traditional data centers. On Monday Amazon and VMware introduced a a version of Amazons cloud based database management software that’s meant to work right alongside companies that still use on-premise data centers. The announcement came at the Vmware’s VMworld conference in Las Vegas and is a prime example of Amazon’s shift in their strategy to support and expand to companies outside of its own facilities. This helps strengthen Amazons hybrid cloud capabilities and offerings against other competitors like Google, Microsoft and IBM.
